Workshops

Vekselstrøm will be hosting Synth DIY Workshops regularly during the year. We will host workshops for the newbies as well as for the intermediates. You will throughout our workshops learn about how to read schematics, how to identify components and how to use a soldering iron properly. We’re going to deal in everything from analog circuitry and modular synths to stompboxes and contact microphones. For participating in the workshop, you’re required to register, as well pay for the cost of the materials.

During Vekselstrøm Festival, we’re hosting Vekselstrøm’s first DIY Workshop. The project will, in this case, be our own little circuit, consisting of a saw wave oscillator, an Attack-(Sustain)-Release envelope generator and a simple 1-transistor VCA, which reminds a lot of the VCA used in the TR808 Cymbal circuit. There’s CV in for controlling the pitch, though it doesn’t track 1v/oct. There’s a Gate in for the envelope generator and an External input for the VCA, so you can take your own signals through it.
